Who we are

Ngarra Support Services provides culturally grounded, person-centred disability support for individuals, families and communities.

While our work is deeply informed by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of knowing, being and doing, we welcome and support people from all backgrounds. We believe everyone deserves support that is respectful, trauma-informed and built on genuine connection.

Our Approach

At Ngarra, we believe strong outcomes come from strong relationships. We take the time to listen, understand each person’s circumstances, and work alongside participants, families and support networks.

Our approach is:

  • Culturally safe and inclusive

  • Trauma-informed and strengths-based

  • Grounded in community and lived experience

  • Focused on choice, control and dignity

Support is never one-size-fits-all. We tailor our services to each individual, working at their pace and in a way that respects their values, identity and goals.

Who We Support

We support people living with disability, their families and carers, as well as community organisations and service providers. Ngarra has a strong focus on culturally responsive support and advocacy, particularly where individuals or families may experience barriers to accessing services.

Our Commitment

Ngarra Support Services is committed to walking alongside people — not over them. We advocate for fairness, access and respect, and we hold ourselves accountable through transparency, integrity and community connection.

Whether you are new to the NDIS or seeking support that values culture, understanding and lived experience, Ngarra is here to support you..

Founders Statement

Ngarra Support Services was founded from lived experience and a deep understanding of the gaps that exist within disability and support systems.

As an Aboriginal woman and carer that lives with a physical disability, I have seen firsthand how systems can overlook culture, community and the individual behind the paperwork. Ngarra was created to offer a different way — one that values respect, understanding and genuine connection, while delivering high-quality, professional support to people from all backgrounds.

My commitment is to ensure support is person-centred, culturally safe and grounded in integrity. At Ngarra, we don’t rush people through systems — we walk alongside them.
